EV3 200 ONLINE builds on the fundamentals taught in our introductory Youth Robotics course. Students will continue to work with the LEGO® Mindstorm™ kits, but will expand their knowledge of coding through exploration of the following topics:

  • Data wires
  • Math blocks
  • Variables
  • Gyro sensor
  • Parallel beams/synchronization
  • Logic operators
  • Decision making
  • Proportional control

The course will run weekly on Tuesdays, beginning April 20th. Please note: there will be two hours of instruction time per week (30 minutes more per class than in the introductory course), giving additional time to experiment and learn by doing!

Required equipment, including an EV3 core set and laptop, will be provided. A $25 returnable security deposit will be collected at the time of pick-up.

Prior coding experience is required.

Teacher Bio

Trevor is a maker, designer, explorer, and teacher who enjoys hands-on learning and experimentation balanced with thoughtful research and planning.

As a student pilot and space enthusiast, Trevor dreams of someday looking back at our home planet from outside the atmosphere.

When not looking skyward, Trevor can sometimes be found wandering in nature, digging for clay, or harvesting wood to learn how useful objects were made in the past.

In travels around the world, Trevor has explored how innovations in technology and the arts have shaped the course of humanity, along with historic walking and sailing routes.

Trevor brings his education in robotics and skills in 3D design and modern manufacturing, along with project management and consulting experience to solve real-world problems.  Trevor is currently studying how video games might be used to teach skills applicable in current and future job markets.
