Introduction to the Laser Cutter ~ Free for 55+

We have an exciting new piece of machinery to use in the Shuswap Makerspace!  

Come and check out our 100-Watt HL 1060 Laser Cutting / Engraving machine in action. There are so many things you can create with this machine; bring a friend!

This was an addition to the Makerspace in early 2021 and is fully functional.  We will show some of the various things we have done and give you a brief demonstration on how it works.  If you want to learn more and use the machine, we will soon be offering courses to certify Makerspace Members on the proper use of the equipment.  

This workshop, led by Carl Flatman and Pat Shea, will be offered free to seniors aged 55+ as part of our Federally funded seniors' workshop series running throughout 2021 at the Innovation Centre and Shuswap Makerspace in downtown Salmon Arm.

The fee is $10 for those under 55 years of age.

Wednesday, September 8 from 6:00pm - 7:30pm at the Shuswap Makerspace in the Innovation Centre (downstairs) 220 Shuswap St. NE (The big colourful building downtown).
