Did you take the tour and want to learn more? Here's your chance! We have an exciting new piece of machinery to use at the Shuswap Makerspace! Come and get certified to use our 100-Watt HL 1060 Laser Cutting / Engraving machine, and learn all the capabilities of this amazing tool!
In these classes you will learn the basics of the machine, safe operation, and designing for the laser. Knowledge with Windows is required, and there is software that can be downloaded on your personal computer to prepare your files for the laser. Create your own projects!
This 2 day workshop series led by Carl Flatman and Pat Shea, will be offered half price at $112.50 to senior's aged 55+ as part of our Federally funded seniors' workshop series running throughout 2021 at the Innovation Centre and Shuswap Makerspace in downtown Salmon Arm.
The fee is $225 for those under 55 years of age (ages 16 and up).
Sunday, September 26 from 9:30am - 3:00pm, and Tuesday, September 28 from 6:00pm - 8:30pm at the Shuswap Makerspace in the Innovation Centre (downstairs) 220 Shuswap St. NE (the big colourful building downtown).
Register soon as space is limited to 4 people! ***Bring a laptop and USB stick to download files and software. A water bottle and lunch on the first day is also suggested. Hair must be tied back**
