~ This 2 day, fully instructed course will have you building a beautiful, folding cedar Adirondack chair. Not only will it be lightweight and last a long time, but you'll be able to fold it for easy storage.
~ Led by instructor Ed Campbell, this course also includes your Woodshop 101 certification. You will learn how to use most of the tools in the wood shop, with an emphasis on safety and proper use of equipment. This certification ($150 value) enables you to use the wood shop when becoming a Makerspace member, take other wood shop courses, or do drop-in ($10) when you need to work on your own project.
Thursday, February 17 from 9am - 3pm & Friday, February 18 from 9am - 12pm at the Shuswap Makerspace in the Innovation Centre (downstairs) 220 Shuswap St. NE.
Register soon as space is limited to 2 people!
Bring lunch and a water bottle, and wear closed-toed, comfortable shoes.
