Build A Bat House: Senior & Youth Class

Build a Bat House: Senior & Youth Class ~ Adult (55+) and   Youth (9+) ~ Build a Bat House   together! ~ No experience necessary

Let's support our endangered bat population! Bats are an essential component of a healthy ecosystem and provide insect and pest control. Join us for this multi-generational project where you'll build a warm, dry and safe habitat for bats. Each team will build one 31" x 18" x  6" Pine Bat House. No previous woodworking experience is necessary.         

Saturday, July 9 from 9:00am - 3:00pm at the Shuswap Makerspace in the Innovation Centre (downstairs) 220 Shuswap St. NE (The big colourful building downtown). 

This course has a total value of $170, but it will be offered at $85 plus GST for pairs aged 55+ and 9+ as part of our Federally funded seniors' workshop series running throughout 2022 at the Innovation Centre and Shuswap Makerspace in downtown Salmon Arm (the big colourful building).

The cost is $170 plus GST for pairs where the adult is under 55 years of age.

***Register soon as space is limited to 6 people (3 adults and 3 youth)***

NOTE: Please wear closed-toed shoes. Long hair must be tied up. Bring a lunch (1 hour break) and water bottle.

Instructor: Steve Henshall, retired cabinet maker and wood science teacher.
