**New** Sound Studio Recording Workshop series! ~ Welcome to our new sound studio in the Shuswap Makerspace!

~ Would you like to learn how to use the recording equipment?

~ Perhaps make your own podcast, record music, make a special story for a grandchild, or document your family history to give as a gift to a family member this Christmas. The possibilities are endless! 

~ Learn to record, edit and produce your own story, poem, documentary or podcast with instructor Richard Sevigny. 

~ This 6 hour workshop will introduce you to the studio equipment and give you experience with writing, recording and editing your own spoken word project for broadcast or podcast.

~ Learn to use the free Audacity software and how you can have ongoing access to the Makerspace studio ($10 an hour).

Required participant tools:

1. Computer

2. Headphones & microphone

3. USB Stick

4. Audacity software (free download: http://audacity.soundforge.net)

• This workshop will be offered for $105 + GST to senior's aged 55+ as part of our Federally funded seniors' programming.

  The fee is $210 + GST for those under 55 years of age.

  This course consists of 3 Tuesday evenings; January 17, 24 & 31 from 5:30 - 7:30pm at the Shuswap Makerspace in the Innovation Centre: 220 Shuswap St. NE (basement).
