This is an introduction into the world of computerized woodworking. Using our Makerspace CNC Router, you will learn the process of turning your idea into a finished piece. Students must be comfortable using a Windows based computer to run the software and equipment.
In this class you will learn the basics of designing for the CNC router and how to safely operate the machine. Next step… dream up crazy things that you want to make on the CNC. The software we will use is user friendly and opens the door for your creativity to flow. Instructor, Brock Gerow, has been a CNC machinist for over 20 years.
The fee is $225 for ages 16 and up (min of 2 ppl to run the course).
3 Thursdays, April 6, 13 & 20 from 6:00 - 8:30 pm at the Shuswap Makerspace in the Innovation Centre (basement) 220 Shuswap St. NE.
