Woodshop 101          Safety Training

~ Raised Pet Feeder!

• Familiarize yourself with the Wood Shop, its resources, and the machines and power tools that you are most likely to use
• Demonstrate how to use those machines and power tools safely
• Shown the location of the E STOP, first aid kit, eye wash station, fire extinguisher and emergency exits
• This course is required in order to obtain access to the Industrial Room equipment and to do future woodworking workshops and use the space going forward. 
• Monthly, annual and drop-in membership rates available.
• This workshop is led by retired carpenter and commercial/residential home builder, Allen Hume.

  You will make a beautiful raised pet feeder which includes two 7" wide stainless steel bowls as the class project. *You can paint or stain it at home*

• Friday, April 14 from 9:00am - 3:00pm at the Shuswap Makerspace in the Innovation Centre (downstairs) 220 Shuswap St. NE. ***The fee is $165 for ages 16 & up, which includes all materials.

• NOTE: Please measure from the ground to the centre of your dogs chest.

• We ask that you wear closed-toed shoes. Long hair must be tied up. Please bring a lunch and a water bottle.

• ***Register soon as space is limited to 3 people!*** Minimum 2 people to run the course
