Woodshop 101 Certification ~ Pen Making Class

• Pen Making 101

  In this course you will learn how to make a pen which includes:

   prepare a wooden blank which will become become a pen barrel

   turn a pen barrel blank on the lathe to the desired shape

   finish the wooden pen barrel to a smooth, sheer look and feel

   assemble the finished pen

   find resources and supplies for more pen projects

  Each participant will leave the workshop with a finished Maple Leaf style pen.

  This is not a lathe certification course. You will learn how to safely operate the lathe as an

  introduction to this fun hobby. All materials are included in the cost.

The fee is $105 for ages 16 +                                

Thursday, November 16th from 6:00pm - 8:00pm at the Shuswap Makerspace in the Innovation Centre (basement) 220 Shuswap St. NE.

***Register soon as space is limited to 3 people!*** Minimum 2 people to run the course.

NOTE: We ask that you wear closed-toed shoes. Long hair must be tied up.
